The May Report: 2/7/2011: What a night! Groupon Super Bowl ad for a Tibetan restaurant in Chicago with Timothy Hutton sparks a large flurry of controversy on Twitter and Facebook — all of which leads us to wonder if the whole thing was an elaborate and deliberate publicity stunt; what was the ad agency thinking, and whether this was a massive over-reaction by Groupon customers or more evidence of a tin ear that Groupon may have to international cultural sensitivities and on top of all that, there is now a hash mark, #boycottgroupon, which is ironic to say the least…
